ARCC (Peru’s Authority for Reconstruction with Changes programme to rebuild critical and social infrastructure severely damaged by the El Niño effect in 2017.

Working within UKDT’s collaborative environment as part of the UK team to support the delivery of 15 hospitals, 74 education facilities and a wide range of flood resilience interventions. Knowledge transfer is at the heart of the contract focusing on transferring knowledge and up-skilling the local Spanish speaking stakeholders; in addition to advising and assuring the construction, reconstruction and renovation of infrastructure across the country.

As a Knowledge Transfer lead for subjects such as Information Management, BIM and GIS integration within Education, Healthcare and Integrated solution workstreams, my main responsibilities have been:

• Working alongside Digital and Technical Assurance functions for integration of solutions and procedures in the programme

• Providing support, education and training where maturity is required

• Developing and monitoring staff and supply chain capabilities

• Production of key monthly/quarterly reports

Whilst with Bouygues, my main responsibilities have been:.

• Assess Bouygues UK consultants and ensure compliance with BIM Project Execution Plan and provide support to Bouygues UK`s Design Management Team.
• Responsible for the Review of the BIM outputs / objectives agreed with the Design, commercial and production teams, creating detailed assessment reports on the BIM deliverables on every milestone.
• Production of Design coordination protocols utilising Clash detection and digital Red-Pen Markup functionality and arranging workshops to communicate the reports to the project teams.
• Implementing BIM Change control when applicable.
• Being an advocate for BIM to the project teams and providing training for assessing the project’s models and findings.
• Recognised for innovative solutions to the Region’s QA processes, developing templates and solutions for design coordination and Health & Safety.

- Great Western Route Modernisation Note: The project got deffered from the Government due to the rising costs and therefore not completed.

• Production & audit of technical drawings (Bentley Microstation – ProjectWise).
• Ensure of external designer compliance with ABC/ NR BIM standards.
• Act as point of contact and Interface between consultant and contractor.
• Working on the development of BIM Standards for ABC in the railway sector.
• Creation, implementation and maintenance of intelligent spreadsheets, BIM execution plans & developing strategic documents.

• Managed, developed and grew a Centralised team of 6 CAD/BIM Technicians whilst being hands-on with the company’s current projects.
• Bespoke training on Autodesk's Revit Architecture, Structure and MEP disciplines.
• Review performance of the BIM Centre.
• Review and implement BIM data management protocols.
• Set best practices for the utilisation of the available tools and the company’s workflow processes introducing innovation where possible.

• Monitoring the quality of BIM models, documentation and project deliverables; ensuring the coordination between all the disciplines.

• Leading and guiding the project teams throughout the BIM implementation.

• Promoting the business’ BIM Capability to partners and clients.

• Assisting in the identification of staff’s BIM competency.

• Leading the BIM content management creation, approval and procedures (Revit).

• Mentoring and over the shoulder training, developing and shadowing to staff.

► Developed managerial initiatives and documented processes, procedures and workflows to manage risks associated with BIM tools and workflows and ensure the quality of the produced work.

- Paddington Station Project (Costain-Skanska Joint Venture).

• Leading the BIM Coordination for the project working closely with the design and procurement team to co-ordinate the federated model for all disciplines and helping internal teams and supply chain to realise the benefits of BIM.
• Conducting workshops on BIM tools for all disciplines and support the BIM Implementation plan which followed Network Rail and BS1192:2007 standards.
• Supporting the utilization of field applications for iPads on site and the QA process through the virtual model by reporting Clash detections, potential hazards, discrepancies and engineering solutions that might not work or difficult to apply.

► Paddington has now been awarded as the best BIM infrastructure project in the UK. (BCI 2014 awards in London).

• Managing the design department of Potter Raper Partnership, a Multi-Discipline Construction Consultancy firm, leading the company-wide BIM activities both internally and externally.
• Leading client presentations, seminars and training for clients as well as internal teams on how BIM can be used during the life-cycle of a facility.
