I have achieved a lot in the world of writing and broadcasting, I was the youngest broadcaster in North American harness racing and I write monthly for freelance articles. I have successfully worked in barns for 5 years, I know a lot about horse handling and proper management. I have excelled as a student at Holland College.
I was responsible for helping take care of standardbred racehorses. I did general labour around the barn, some of my duties included working the horses out in the morning, lifting and moving equipment (25 to 50 pounds), helping maintain the health of the horses, and cleaning around the barn (moping, sweeping, cleaning equipment, etc). I only work mornings before school and race days.
Each month I write an article about New Brunswick harness racing. My articles can be profiles, general news coverage, and notices concerning to fans and participants.
My duties here included working hands on with race horses and advised Charlie with the care and management of the horses. I would clean up around the barn and help with the transportation of horses.
I wrote summaries of the races after every racing program throughout the time period I worked there.
Here I was the host of raceday broadcast. I provided race analysis and general coverage of the races.
