My name is Sarah and yoga sets my soul on fire. After teaching full time for a few years, I have found my voice and where I excel most in teaching through guiding students on the journey of mastering advanced asanas. I have managed a large, local studio for the past year and am ready for my next challenge. From scheduling classes, hiring new staff, coordinating events, and running the daily operations of a popular studio, I've done it all. Apart from my time managing a studio, I have worked also worked on five separate 200 hour YTT intensives in Costa Rica and Peru, and look forward to teaching more training programs in the future. Stemming from a deep passion for my personal practice, watching and helping others progress and find love in yoga is my true calling. I help gently guide students to try new things, push through their limitations, and most importantly-have fun!
The advanced class I offer is based on giving students the confidence to try new things. We explore deeper backbends, flexibilty, and arm balances. From malasana to handstand, full wheel to kapotasan, we explore it all!
Starting with gentle movement and softly flowing into deep, intense holds in poses that help stretch the inner muscles, my yin classes are a mix of classic yin and restorative. Classes tend to incorporate breathing practices from Kundalini, and energy practices from QiGong.
In longer sessions, I guide short mediations and also host tea ceremonies.
I guided students through a hot and sweaty 75 minute class. We focused on fast-pace movements, basic alignment, arm balances, and breath.
